“Maricota conta: Chapeuzinho Vermelho” conta a história da menina Maricota, apaixonada por livros, trazendo uma inédita versão do Clássico Chapeuzinho Vermelho, que foi levar doces para sua vovozinha que estava doente. Com um olhar contemporâneo, é baseada nos grandes poetas brasileiros: Chico Buarque, que diz que Chapeuzinho era Amarelo; Carlos Drumond de Andrade, que afirma a menina jamais chegaria depois do lobo à casa da vovozinha; e Mario Prata que diz que Chapeuzinho era vermelha sim, mas de raiva, pois sua vó era muito reclamona. Uma ótima maneira de iniciar as crianças na Literatura brasileira.
De forma divertida, a peça que traz fantoche e personagens animados, e aborda questões importantes para a formação de uma criança, como: a importância da obediência aos pais, a superação do medo, a mentira, o desconhecido, a coragem, e outros. Mas a grande surpresa da história é quando a Chapeuzinho Vermelho conhece um macaco-super herói que lhe ensina a importância de cuidar do Meio Ambiente.
A peça circulou presencialmente em Teatros do Rio de Janeiro: Centro Cultural Municipal Oduvaldo Vianna Filho – Castelinho do Flamengo e Sala Zaíra de Oliveira no Memorial Municipal Getúlio Vargas e no Teatro Municipal de Rio das Ostras.
